COVID19 Minnesota Employment Law

Terch & Associates has been partnering with our clients over the past month to prepare for the Human Resource and economic impact of Covid-19.  From developing plans on handling work-from-home arrangements to planning temporary business closures, Terch & Associates consultants have been working with the employees and senior management of numerous companies in the Northland to prepare.  We are helping our clients plan for the financial and operational impact of the virus and, equally important, how our clients can be best prepared to ramp back up operations after the virus subsides.  Most importantly, we are recognizing the significant impact on our clients and their staff and partnering with them to manage it successfully.

Of the many questions our clients have been asking about during this time, few are more common than the employment law impact of dealing with the virus in the workplace.  While we cannot provide specific advice to non-clients on our blog, we are happy to share some resources that are available from reputable agencies.

First, the national employment law firm Fisher Phillips has assembled a comprehensive employment law guide that explores the impact of federal law on workplaces.

Second, the State of Minnesota has published this limited guide to the impact of Minnesota employment law.

If you need specific assistance, our team of 5 consultants has established an HR On Call program.  Our phone line (218-213-7162) will be staffed with one of our consultants from 8 AM until 6 PM seven days per week.  If you business needs help in addressing employee related concerns, call us – we are here to help!
