As Principal and Managing Partner of Terch and Associates, Justin has been providing unparalleled HR expertise to organizations of all sizes for over 15 years. His comprehensive education and understanding of human resources, employment law, and business allows him to lead his team of professionals to provide exceptional solutions and results time and time again.Experience
Previously, Justin served as Managing Investigator at a regional workplace investigation agency where he conducted and oversaw fraud and employee misconduct investigations. He has also served as an HR Director at numerous organizations including public and private entities. During that time, he managed 22 different collective bargaining units, oversaw a self-insured worker’s compensation program with $15M in active claims, successfully negotiated multi-million dollar settlements, and provided ongoing HR support for businesses from 5 to 1200 employees. Justin currently serves on the Minnesota Society of Human Resource Management (MNSHRM) and has been elected by his colleagues to serves as the State Director, MNSHRM’s Chief Executive Officer. His leadership of 6,000 HR professionals in Minnesota allows him to build relationships with human resource professionals in nearly every type of organization. Justin serves in the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, mediating cases involving discrimination claims in employment under the Minnesota Human Rights Act and similar federal laws such as the ADA. From 2011-2022, Justin was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, teaching courses on Human Resources Management and Civil Law Mediation. Justin serves as Terch and Associates’ Qualified Representative to the Minnesota Board of Private Detectives and Protective Agents. In this role he personally supervises all investigative work of the firm and ensures compliance with Minnesota laws and rules surrounding workplace investigations.Education

A Senior Human Resource Consultant with Terch & Associates, David specializes in executive recruiting and sourcing, providing on-site human resources support to clients in our CorHR program, and in developing and deploying performance management programs for diverse generations. With a background in industrial and organizational psychology he studies employee behaviors and trends to identify ways of reducing turnover and increasing employee job satisfaction. David is an authorized provider of the Predictive Index assessment system and is active in the West Duluth Business Club, Eco Rotary of Duluth, and serves on the Duluth Workforce Development Board’s Emerging Workforce Committee.

David has worked with numerous organizations to recruit high level professionals in various roles. He leads Terch & Associates’ candidate sourcing process and consults on various performance management services. His expertise as an I/O Psychologist provides him with unique and extensive scholarship and best practices in people management. David has provided internal investigative services to clients and is known for being both professional and uniquely approachable.
Prior to his time at Terch & Associates, David was a recruiter that placed technology professionals in key government roles requiring specialized security clearances. His work in vetting candidates with secret and top secret security clearances is a unique skill set that he applies to hiring high-end executives.
